Four cards from one

Afternoon to all on a very wet day in the UK.Hope we get to see some sunshine again soon. Last weekend I purchased a set of note cards in Paperchase and thought I could turn them into more than just one card.From each card I die cut two shapes and used the negative images to create two frames.I I then layered all four die cuts and mounted them onto a small white card base. Using some Papertrey Ink stamp sets and some Paula Pascual dies I embellished my cards and added a sentiment to each. Sorry the photos aren't that great but I hope you get the idea. I used my Kindle to take the pictures and I need more practise (and some ability!) Marion

More details of my craft retreat

Hi. Today I have some more photos with a little more detail on how I have arranged my space - this will no doubt change over time but I am very happy with it for now. This is the view from the door with my main desk in the middle. I keep my most used tools on the desk and my favourite stamps (PTI) in a cubby of the expedit next to my desk. Behind my desk is another expedit which houses most of my 12 by 12 and A4 cardstock. I also store my lovely washi tape here in acrylic drawers from Muji and my ever growing collection of alcohol markers in various horizontal storage racks (I am a self confessed addict to these fab pens). Directly behind my desk is the die cutting area where I keep all of my machines and dies. I also keep all my card scraps close to hand here. I adapted an idea I saw on Ashley Cannon Newell's blog for storing my wafer thin dies but I used photo boxes instead of a library tray. As I turn towards the door I have all my embellishments stored in a drawer unit and in glass jars. At the other end of the room I keep my less used items and my finished cards. I use my laptop at this desk although the internet connection is not so good out here. I also have a comfy chair so I can sit and read a book if I lose my crafting mojo. I am still in the process of adding labels to all my boxes, but I have made some cards since I "moved in" and will show some pictures soon. many thanks to anyone taking the time to stop by. Marion x

My New Craft Cabin.

Sorry but I am new to this and haven't worked how to add labels to my photos. My husband has very generously bought me a "Green Retreat" (this company is near Buckingham in the UK). It is so much bigger than my previous room in the house and it is the room I have always wanted and dreamed of. I now have a dedicated die cutting area, a main desk where I stamp, colour and construct my cards and another desk at the far end where I can use my laptop. My daughters often join me in here after school each afternoon, to chat about their day. I am so happy in this "woman cave" and so grateful to my husband, thanks Steve!
